Sue's Training & Background

Sue is a UKCP registered counsellor and psychotherapist. She has 11 years’ experience of working in GP practices offering counselling and practical support to people affected by trauma, dislocation from their origins, relationship breakdown or difficulties, depression, physical disability, learning difficulties, autism, personality disorders and other adverse life circumstances. Prior to training as a therapist she worked for many years in organisations giving information related to disability, pregnancy and parenting.

She is warm, down to earth and approachable as well as experienced, qualified, professional and ethical. She works with a wide range of problems including anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, depression, life crisis and low self-esteem. Sue uses EFT, mindfulness and art therapy techniques to help you identify and process the difficulties you may be experiencing. She will also incorporate CBT and other cognitive exercises where appropriate which can help make a difference in short term work.

Qualifications and Accreditation
•    Minster Centre MA and Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy (2009)
•    UKCP registered (UK Council for Psychotherapy) Reg No 2011162573
•    BA Hons in Modern Languages
•    Trained as a breastfeeding counsellor

Code of Ethics

Sue is a member of the Minster Centre and subscribes to their code of ethics which is approved by the UKCP. Her work is fully supervised by an experienced and UKCP registered psychotherapy supervisor.
